An interesting point. I’m not aware of any data that might bear on this issue. My human response is that I can remember being that age and thinking I knew a lot more than I did, and trying on different hats as I freely gave my unsolicited advice. So I might try empathy, gratitude that she’s interested enough to offer advice, patience and perhaps, “Thanks! I’ll take it under advisement.”
